When I’m Gone
When I come to the end of my journey
And I travel my last weary mile
Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned
And remember only the smile
Forget unkind words I have spoken
Remember some good I have done
Forget that I ever had heartache
And remember I've had loads of fun
Forget that I've stumbled and blundered
And sometimes fell by the way
Remember I have fought some hard battles
And won, ere the close of the day
Then forget to grieve for my going
I would not have you sad for a day
But in summer just gather some flowers
And remember the place where I lay
And come in the shade of evening
When the sun paints the sky in the west
Stand for a few moments beside me
And remember only my best

Dearest Daddy Mo
Thank you for being you,
such a gentle and caring soul
You showed your affections quietly and without fuss.
You worked hard and helped everyone.
Your conversations with me over the washing up I loved ... the time we spent over those dreaded bun tins !!!
Your funny humour and infectious smile showed me life could be good.
For me to know you was uplifting to my soul, a happyness I looked forward to, a guiding light.
Thank you for being you.
Love always
Helen Murray.

Such a special man, a surrogate dad and amazing Grandad Jack to our two boys. I have loved sharing the last 30 years of my life with Jack's unconditional love and support, not to mention his dry wit, salient thoughts and every now and again, stern guidance "you work at life, it doesn't come easy". Miss you all the time, you have always just been there, a quiet and guiding soul, see you again one day. with lots of love Gina, Steve, Harry and Jack. xxx
